Katete Town Council offers the following services to the community;

• Refuse collection through the keep Zambia clean, green and healthy campaign.
• Clean and safe drinking water through borehole drilling in communities,
• Licences, such as: trade licences, health permit licence, liquor licences, fire arm licences and all other different licences. It also offers marriage certificates and fire certificates.
• Provision of trading premises
• Plot allocation/ town planning
• Provision of feeder roads through engineering departments
• Library services
• Pre-school services and provision of services to the vulnerable through community development
• Land distribution/ plots
• Burying of destitutes
• Eradication of stray dogs through public health section
• Hospitality services through the motel
• HIV/AIDS, gender and human rights sensitisation
