WDC is short for Ward Development Committee. These committees are the grass root link between the communities and the Local Authorities, they are formed in each ward through an electoral process in which residents of each particular ward select representatives among themselves to pick community leaders who will represent them in the handling of the affairs of community development. To learn more click here.

The WDC is a nonpartisan committee with the sole purpose of steering the developmental agenda at the grassroots and closer to the community. Members are elected into office through an elective process overseen by the Local Authority. Details of eligibility and functions are listed here.

Before a person can begin  any construction they must apply for planning permission. According to the urban and regional planning act No 3 of 2015 it is legal to put up any structures  

Clubs may be registered at the Council or Dept of Commerce after a group meets the minimum requirements : A minimum of 10 Members A club constitution All members must have green national registration cards 

Every Business owner must possess a health permit according to the Public Health Act
