Katete Town Council Commences Road Works in Mphangwe Ward

Katete Town Council has commenced road construction works on selected roads in Mphangwe Ward under the 2023 Constituency Development Fund (CDF). This initiative is in line with the Local Authority’s mandate to construct, manage, and maintain roads within the district.

Currently, works are underway on the Chibolya Catholic Road, stretching from the market through Luangwa Compound to the main road, covering a total distance of 3.2 kilometers.

The scope of works includes:

1. Clearing and grubbing

2. Formation

3. Grading

4. Spot dumping

5. Compaction

6. Construction of side drains

These developments aim to improve accessibility and enhance the overall infrastructure within the District.
