The discussions centred around the 2022 draft revised CDF guidelines, which were updated following the enactment of the CDF Act No. 1 of 2024 by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development. The revised guidelines aim to strengthen the framework for decentralized development nationwide.
To ensure inclusive and meaningful contributions, participants were divided into groups, each assigned one of the nine core components of the guidelines. This structure enabled focused dialogue on the challenges and gaps previously encountered in CDF implementation.
The collaborative approach is expected to enhance the effectiveness, transparency, and responsiveness of the CDF guidelines to better serve the developmental priorities of the Katete.
